quotes 1. Can you use any Shimano shifter on an Alfine hub? Or is it Alfine specific? 2. Is the Alfine hub off the shelf? Replaceable? Upgradeable when a next gen. Alfine comes out?

quotes I still have a set of Nokon shift housing completely unused. Yeah, I'll sell it. Been sitting on it for years.

quotes ... not exactly the first. Crystal Mountain had the lifts open at one time. For about 2 years, around 2002 or so. Just saying. It would be cool to see that mountain follow Stevens Pass and build a park too. They could build a lot of terrain in that bowl.

quotes Ok, I'll give you that. And loads better than any Trek as well.

quotes I don't know if I would go as far as saying it's not even ridable. Devinci's got a good line-up of bikes and their Wilson is one of the sickest single pivots out there. I must say, locating the link down and around the BB is a trick way to keep even a lower center of gravity. It's just that it is still a single pivot. I personally have not had good experiences with single pivot bikes' ability to take square edged bumps and so on. First it was Lawwill, then the FSR horst link, VPP, DW link... all seemed to be progressing and it seems like a regression to refine a single pivot except for maaaaaaaybe stiffness, but that's less and less of an issue these days.

quotes Start with 4X, then add DH when the UCI drops that too.
